One night in early May, 2020, Prophet Ghost texted me the lyrics to a new song he was working on. He said it was going to be called "Long Way To Go", and I instantly resonated with his vision. I asked him if I could get that beat so I could do something with it as well for a possible 'part 2' or 'remix', have you. About a week went by since he sent me the beat, and the terrifying news of George Floyd being senselessly murdered by the systemically racist police force was everywhere. Protests were everywhere. I felt it would be irresponsible to write about anything other than a response to what was and is still happening. We do have a long way to go. Black Lives Matter. We'll get these racist assholes out of office, even if we have to tear everything down so we can build it back up the right way. Thank you, Prophet Ghost, for allowing me to speak my mind within the frame of your vision.
